Austin, by neighborhood. Checked, not scraped.
People of Austin is a guide to where to eat, drink, play and stay in Austin, organized by the neighborhood you're actually in. It's run by Jordan, who lives in Steiner Ranch and got tired of the group-chat debate ending with the same three places.
How we verify. Happy hours go up only when we've confirmed the days, hours and deals on the venue's own site or in a current source, with the link. Guides say "5 of the best," not "the best," and every price, date and hour in them is checked against a primary source before it's published; where sources disagree, we leave the number out. Listings marked "not yet verified" were compiled from public information and are waiting on a check or on the owner.
How we make money. Partnerships, event promotions and features from local businesses, always labeled "Sponsored." A business can't pay to be in a guide, and nobody approves their own write-up. Listings are free.
Corrections. If we're wrong about anything, tell us and we'll fix it, usually the same day.
Photos and credits. Skyline and Lady Bird Lake photographs are used under the Unsplash License. Business names, menus and event names belong to their owners and are used only to identify them. Descriptions are our own; if you own a business and want your listing changed, tell us.
